Q. What Is AOI's Philosophy On Care For Children, And Orphanages?
A. “Your child may not be in an orphanage” There are many reasons children find themselves in orphanages away from the love and care of a family unit, including poverty, disease, disability, disasters, and even abuse. However, it is estimated that 80% of these children have other family members, or even a living parent, at home that could care for them if they had the support they so desperately need to do so.
AOI will always support vulnerable, orphaned, and abandoned children around the world who find themselves in orphanages, but we’ve also grown to include community development and family-based support whenever and wherever possible, reuniting children with family members who are willing, and with your continued support, able to care for them.
We believe shifting our focus to include community development and family-based support (whenever possible) is simply the right thing to do, and that no one can love our children better than their own family. So, we’re working through your ongoing support, to keep children out of orphanages altogether whenever possible.
Q. How Do I Log Into My Account After Sponsoring A Child?
A. When you sponsor a child, you also set up your account at the same time. Using the login name and password you created during this process, you can click the link below to login to your donor account. Forgot your username and password? Q. How Many Children Are Still In Need Of Sponsorship?
A. Having been blessed with the opportunity to travel to Africa, Asia, Haiti, Nepal, Panama, and other parts of the world, we didn’t have to look very far to find children living in extreme poverty everywhere we turned. There’s simply so much need that the number is staggering and hard to quantify. World Bank estimates that there are more than 400 million children in the world living in extreme poverty. Our goal will always be to reach out to as many of these children as possible. Even with all the wonderful support of other organizations around the world, we’re just beginning to scratch the surface of caring for vulnerable, orphaned, and abandoned children.
Q. Do Any Children Receive More Than One Sponsor?
A. Each child has only one sponsor.
Q. What Percentage Of The Money I Send Goes To My Child?
A. 90% is used to support children – 75% of the money received through My Daily Armor’s Amazing Orphans International goes immediately to support your sponsored child. We then use 15% for project related work that directly impacts children within our AOI programs, and 10% covers our administrative fees and fundraising expenses.

Q. How Do I Know The Money Is Being Used For My Child?
A. We monitor and require each of our mission partners to provide us with regular updates on how the money they receive is being spent in support of your sponsored child.
Q. How Long Do Sponsorship's Last?
A. Typically until the child reaches adulthood in their native country (usually age 18). At that time our goal would be to connect you to another child waiting on a sponsor, although you may cancel your sponsorship(s) at any time by emailing us at CustomerService@MyDailyArmor.Org or calling our office at (888)464-6311 Ext 101.
Q. May I Sponsor More Than One Child?
A. Yes, Absolutely. We have a number of people who have sponsored more than one child.
Q. May I Purchase A Gift For My Child?
A. While we certainly understand the desire to send gifts to your sponsored child, we’ve found it is better to send additional funds so that something special can be purchased for your child in their native country. Shipping charges can often cost more than the gift itself and significant delays or lost gifts (due to the country of origins own postal service) can often mean not getting there in time or at all. If you’d like to send a financial gift we’ve made it easy!
Simply write us at CustomerService@AmazingOrphans.Org or give us a call at (888)464-6311 Ext 101, letting us know how much you’d like to send, and we’ll be happy to process the transaction for you. We can include your financial gift with our ongoing support or can send it immediately for a charge of $35.00.
Q. How Do I Contact My Sponsored Child?
A. Communications between a child and their sponsor is a very important part of this relationship. Because infrastructure is often poor in 3rd and 4th world countries, communications with your sponsored child can often seem very slow, sometimes taking days for a response. Please rest assured that our team will do everything possible to help facilitate communications between you and your sponsored child.
How Do I Email My Sponsored Child?
To Send An Email And Photos To Your Sponsored Child: Login to your account at “login.amazingorphans.org” and select “Send Message” under “My Sponsorships”. You may choose “Upload File” to upload photos. Alternatively, you may write and send your email to MyChild@AmazingOrphans.Org (attaching photos as desired) and we’ll make sure it gets delivered, and that we return all replies to the email address that you used to make the initial correspondence.
We ask that your letter follow these guidelines when writing your sponsored child:
- Do Not include any personal contact information including telephone number, address, email address, twitter,
Facebook, or any other way that the child could contact you directly. This is for both your protection and the
protection of the children.
- Do Not include any promises such as a promise of a gift, a visit, or other forms of support. Despite our best
intentions, sometimes we are not able to live up to these promises which can have devastating effects on the
- Do share information about your life but be careful not to share it in such a way that it could cause jealousy or
- Do encourage your sponsored child in their education and to continue following the Lord.
Q. How Do I Cancel My Sponsorship?
A. You may cancel your sponsorship at any time, and for any reason, by calling into our office at (888)464-6311 Ext 101 and speaking with one of our office staff or by emailing us at CustomerService@AmazingOrphans.Org.
Of course, we’ll miss you, but we also understand that circumstances change. If there are reasons you’ve decided to cancel that we can help you with, please let us know and we’ll do our best to keep you as a sponsor.
